We raised our first group of Chinese Silkies in 2002, and since then, we were falling in love with this beautiful and docile creature.

In 2009, we started breeding our silkies in New Zealand, and we keep growing.

In 2014, we started our free-range poultry farm in a beautiful coastal town -FOXTON.   

After years of development, we have become the largest silkie meat producer in New Zealand.

At Barefoot Poultry, our goal is to bring you the FINEST silkie so that you will benefit from the high nutritional value of the silkie! 

Our aim is Natural Farming. Therefore, we do NOT use hormones, antibiotics and Artificial Colouring. Also, we do NOT crossbreed our silkies, hoping that magnificent creature can thrive in New Zealand from generation to generation.
